is taking things to the next level in terms of offering its users collaborative abilities on ChatGPT. The firm has introduced ChatGPT group chats, which will allow people to collaborate with other individuals on the platform in a single conversation and brainstorm with AI working as a mediator. The feature is in its pilot stage and will be available in four regions as of now, including New Zealand, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. As claimed by OpenAI, the company will be rolling out the feature in more countries once it gets some feedback in the early stage.
ChatGPT Group Chats Details
OpenAI said, 'With group chats, you can bring friends, family, or coworkers into a shared space to plan, make decisions, or work through ideas together.' This could be dubbed as the company's response to collaboration tools deployed by rivals AL Models like Anthropic and Meta AI. Apart from that, OpenAI also said that the chatbot now behaves differently inside groups. It evaluates the flow of the conversation and eyes for the right moment to hop in instead of responding to every single message.

What's more is that ChatGPT can now react to your messages with emojis. The creators of a group will have the ability to remove or add participants as they please. And they can also set custom instructions for every group.
How ChatGPT Groups Work?
Users can simply start a group by tapping the new people icon that has been placed in the corner of the app. After which, ChatGPT will generate a shareable link that you can share with the people you want to join in. As of now, the ChatGPT groups can hold up to 20 conversations. And if you turn an existing chat into a group, then ChatGPT creates a copy of the original thread in order to safeguard your private conversations.
