Veteran actor Dharmendra passed away today (November 24) at the age of 89. His demise has left the entire film industry in shock. Govinda, who is a big fan and admirer of Dharmendra, has penned a short
yet emotional caption while mourning the Sholay actor’s demise. He shared a throwback picture with beloved Dharamji on Instagram.
Govinda mourns Dharmendra’s demise
Govinda shared an old picture with Dharmendra on his Instagram handle. He wrote, “आपकी तरह दूसरा कोई नहीं हो सकता (Nobody can be like you) , love you my ustad forever ♥.” In the picture, Dharmendra is seen hugging young Govinda and praising him with a smile. Govinda fondly called Dharmendra his ‘ustad’ (expert) in the caption. The actor’s post is going viral on social media and netizens have started commenting on it.
One user wrote, “Love you always sir.” Another user commented, “So beautiful pic sir.” One more fan stated, “Very sad news...rest in peace dharam ji.”

Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol performed Dharmendra’s last rites at Pawan Hans Crematorium, Vile Parle, Mumbai. Dharmendra’s funeral was attended by many Bollywood celebrities, such as Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and others. Shah Rukh Khan also paid his last respects to the departed soul. Talking about Dharmendra, the actor had worked in over 300 films in his 65-year-long career. He was fondly called the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood. Dharmendra had two marriages. He first got married to Prakash, with whom he had four kids: Sunny, Vijeta, Ajieta and Bobby. In 1980, Dharmendra got married to Hema Malini, with whom he had two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
