The Amazon Prime Video series featured Mika Abdalla as Allie Hayes, and netizens couldn't help but compare her to Arina. They felt that Ariana and Mika looked alike. For that matter, some people also felt that Mika looked like a younger version of Bollywood actress Mahima. Now, in an interview, the actress has reacted to these comparisons and admitted she is happy about it. Mahima also shared that she wants Ariana to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Mahima shared that she was aware of comparisons between her, daughter Arina and Off Campus star Mika Abdalla. The actress added that her phone has been flooded with messages about viral comparison posts. She wondered how people from two different continents can have an uncanny resemblance.

Mahima revealed that people called her to ask if Arina made her debut with the Amazon Prime Video series. To which, the actress denied the development and told them about the viral posts. "It's flattering to see someone so cute and they say that you look like each other. I mean like, definitely use it to your advantage. I'm geeked with the resemblance," she added.The Bollywood actress confessed that she finds Mika cute. And the actress is happy if people feel she and Arina look like the Off Campus star. Talking about her daughter, Mahima mentioned that Arina completed her 12th grade and has taken a year off to figure out life. That said, she wants her daughter to be a part of the entertainment industry. According to her, there's nothing better than entertaining people. "Being part of the entertainment industry in any capacity… because I've enjoyed it so much. I like the industry, " expressed Mahima. For the unversed, the actress has been a single mother to Arina after her separation from Bobby Mukherji. The duo, who got married in 2006, parted ways in 2013.

On the work front, Mahima was last seen in Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shaadi. Co-starring Sanjay Mishra in a lead role, the movie was theatrically released on December 19, 2025.
