More about the case
Sanu filed the petition through advocate Sana Raees Khan. The lawyer and former Bigg Boss 17 contestant stated that Rita Bhattacharya gave multiple interviews to entertainment platforms where she allegedly made serious accusations against Kumar Sanu. These included claims that he starved her during pregnancy, confined her to the kitchen, denied her milk and medical care, and continued court proceedings while she was expecting. Rita also reportedly accused the singer of having multiple affairs and neglecting his family during their marriage. Kumar Sanu sent the legal notice on September 27 to his ex-wife and media portals as a warning of criminal prosecution if the interviews were not taken down.
