Thalapathy Vijay's fort, which is Tamil Nadu's neighbouring state Kerala, will see a change in the usual FDFS on the film Jana Nayagan's release date on 9 January. The actor's films which are usually screened
at 4 am on its premiere, face a reschedule in timings, after the film's distributors have announced a new plan. It was earlier revealed that the makers received permission to screen the first show in the wee hours. However, a new statement shared by the makers revealed that Jana Nayagan's first show in Kerala has been cancelled.
Jana Nayagan's First Show In Kerala Will Not Screen At 4 am
SSR Entertainments, the distributor, in a statement, announced that instead of a 4 am show in Kerala, Jana Nayagan will have its first screening at 6 am. The statement read, “We have made every possible effort to conduct the first show of Jana Nayagan in Kerala at 4.00 AM. Initially, permission for 4.00 AM show was granted by the producer's side. However due to the current situation and certain issues arising in Tamil Nadu, the 4.00 AM show could not be approved.” The statement also read “Therefore the first show of Jana Nayakan in Kerala will be at 6.00 AM. We sincerely apologise to all Kerala Thalapathy fans for the inconvenience caused. We strongly believe that January 9, the 6.00 AM show will be wholeheartedly supported and made a grand success by the fans."The statement was captioned as, “With respect and gratitude to Kerala Thalapathy fans. The first show of Jananayakan will be at 6:00 AM. Let’s celebrate together.”
Since the 4 am shows have been cancelled,
Jana Nayagan will have its premiere in Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at 6 am, while Vijay's home state Tamil Nadu shows will begin at 9 am on January 9. According to the production house, the shift in timing was necessary because permission for the early-morning screening could not be secured due to concerns which first began in Tamil Nadu.Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth, stars Vijay in his final film role before his full-time entry into politics. The cast also includes Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Bobby Deol. Vijay, who launched the political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has reiterated that this will be his last film.
