Satish Shah Death: Hospital Confirms Actor Was 'Unresponsive Upon Ambulance's Arrival'

Veteran actor Satish Shah has passed away at the age of 74 due to kidney failure. And now, Indian celebrities are extending condolences to his family and express that his passing is a major loss to the industry.

Amid the shock in the entertainment industry, a new update from hospital suggests that the veteran actor was 'found to be unresponsive' upon ambulance's arrival. Even though CPR started in the ambulance van itself, Shah showed no signs of revival.

Hospital shares specifics on Satish Shah's death

As per the doctors treating actor Satish Shah at the P.D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre, "Earlier today, the hospital received an emergency call regarding Mr. Shah’s health. An ambulance with a medical team was immediately sent to his residence, where he was found to be unresponsive. CPR was started in the ambulance itself and continued on arrival at P. D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre. Despite the best efforts of our medical team, Mr. Shah could not be revived."The doctors further expressed, "We are deeply saddened by the passing of veteran actor Mr. Satish Shah. Mr. Shah was a beloved artist whose remarkable contribution to Indian cinema and television will always be remembered. The actor was best known for his comic roles in films including Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983), Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi (1984), Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (2004), Main Hoon Na (2004), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Fanaa (2006) and Om Shanti Om (2007). In 2015, he was also appointed as a member of the Film and Television Institute of India society. Ramesh Kadatala, who has been Shah's personal assistant for over 30 years, said the actor passed away at his residence in Bandra east in the afternoon. PTI quoted his manager as saying, "Actor Satish Shah, best known for 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro' and 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai', has died." May his soul Rest In Peace!
