Reacher is here to stay. The fourth season of Amazon Prime Video's Reacher is due to arrive this year, but before the show's date was announced, the streamer revealed before their Upfront presentation in New York that they have commissioned season 5 as well. The action drama is a big hit for Amazon Prime Video globally, with 54.6 million viewers tuning in the first 19 days. While Tom Cruise played the Lee Child character on the big screen, Alan Ritchson has become Jack Reacher on the small screen. The show is beloved by both book and series fans; he is also set to return in the spinoff series Neagley.
Reacher Season 5 renewed by Amazon Prime Video
The renewal of
Reacher for a fifth season was a no-brainer. Since its release in 2022,
Reacher has become the streaming service's most popular franchise. Alan Ritchson is reprising his role as Jack Reacher for the fourth and fifth seasons. He will also help
Neagley star Maria Sten kick-start her own series as well, later this year.
Emmy-nominated writer Nick Santora will continue as executive producer and showrunner. Ritchson is also a producer with Santora and author Lee Child. Produced by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, the series is an adaptation of Child's best-selling novels and might be its most successful retelling as well.

The fourth season premiere date has yet to be announced. However, fans do know that it will be an adaptation of Child's 13th book called
Gone Tomorrow. In it, Jack Reacher (Ritchson) has a chance encounter on a subway with a distressed stranger and it all goes wrong. According to the official synopsis, Reacher will be "drawn into a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless foes from the highest echelons of power."
The new cast members joining this season include Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Roberston. The fourth season ended filming in March 2026. Previous seasons included actors Malcolm Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald, Serinda Swan, and Robert Patrick in guest arcs. Maria Sten has been the only other actor to appear in all three previous seasons.

Neagley also does not have a release date. Sten will reprise her role as Frances Neagley, who once worked alongside Reacher in the US Army. Greyston Holt, Jasper Jones, Adeline Rudolph, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman are also part of the ensemble cast.
