Nick Reiner And His Battle With Substance Abuse
As per a report in Parade, Nick has been battling substance abuse issues since a teenager. The second son of When Met Sally director and his second wife, he was born on September 14, 1993. He would go on to enter rehab for the first time around his 15th birthday and by 2016 had done more than a dozen stays in rehabilitation centres.
Nick Reiner's Screenplay
Unlike Rob Reiner, whose name is synonymous with genre-defining classics such as When Harry Met Sally…, Misery, and A Few Good Men, Nick Reiner has maintained a relatively low public profile. He is known to have worked as a screenwriter and has explored storytelling largely behind the scenes rather than as a public-facing celebrity. Even as he was battling substance abuse, Nick took up writing and penned the screenplay Being Charlie, which starred Nick Robinson and was directed by Rob Reiner himself. The film, loosely based on Nick's life and battles would be called by Rob as one of his most personal films.
