Superstar Rajinikanth has been actively working in Indian cinema for five decades. As he completed 50 years in the film industry, the superstar's 1999 film, Padayappa, is re-releasing in theatres. Co-starring
Ramya Krishnan, Padayappa will be re-released in theatres on December 12, 2025. Ahead of that, Soundarya Rajinikanth shared a special glimpse of the film to mark 50 years of her father Rajinikanth in films.

She further spoke about her father's film, Pada
yappa, returning to the theatres after 25 years. The film producer mentioned that
Padayappa was an emotion and legacy.

Rajinikanth's work front
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in
Coolie. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film featured him as Devaraj. The superstar's upcoming films reportedly include Jailer 2 and Thalaivar 173. Before Coolie was theatrically release, Rajinikanth was seen in
Vettaiyan in 2024. His film,
