The buzz around the project is too high, as fans can’t keep calm to witness the gangster drama on the big screen. In a recent interview, Divyenndu spilt the beans about Mirzapur The Film and explained why it is going to be paisa vasool.

Divyenndu revealed that Mirzapur The Film is the much-awaited project of his career. While spilling the beans about it, the Chashme Baddoor star said that Mirzapur The Film is going to be very big. He had a lot of fun shooting for that one. According to Divyenndu, Mirzapur The Film is going to be full paisa vasool. He feels that the film has something people are waiting for. “Let me not oversell it or reveal things, varna log bohot zyada karte hain, but whatever we have done is glorious,” the actor added.
A few days ago, a source close to the development had informed Zoom that Mirzapur The Film is not going to be a continuation of season 4. It is going to be a fresh cinematic chapter in the franchise that will leave all the viewers surprised. It is going to be a first-of-its-kind move in India. The makers are not leaving any stone unturned to expand the world of Mirzapur on a larger, more cinematic scale while retaining its raw and gritty core.

Mirzapur The Film is being produced by Excel Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios. It is scheduled to be released in theatres on September 4, 2026. As per reports, Sonal Chauhan will have a dance number in the gangster drama. The song is inspired by Sholay’s Mehbooba Mehbooba. Directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, Mirzapur The Film also stars Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur, Sushant Singh, Mohit Malik, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajesh Tailang and others in pivotal roles. Jitendra Joshi has replaced Vikrant Massey in the film. Mirzapur: The Film is based on the Mirzapur web series, which was released in 2018 on Amazon Prime Video. The show’s second and third seasons were out in 2020 and 2024, respectively.
