Roy has broken her silence on divorce rumours. The Brahmastra actress issued a statement a day after speculation around trouble in her marriage swirled across social media. The divorce rumours gained ground after Mouni and her husband Suraj Nambiar unfollowed each other on Instagram. Her first statement amid rumours gave clarity on the matter. Though Mouni’s statement was an important update, the actress neither confirmed nor denied the speculation. Suraj hasn't given any statement or clarification in the media. The couple, after dating secretly for a few years, got married in 2022 in Goa.

Mouni requested privacy and urged not to ‘publish false narratives’. ‘Give us space and privacy. Please,” she wrote. The actress’ statement came a day after unverified reports claimed that she had been living separately and that Suraj had allegedly cheated on her.

Mouni, a famous television and film actress working primarily in the Hindi entertainment industry, married Suraj, a businessman and an investment banker. Before marriage, she would secretly fly to Dubai to meet him. She confirmed her relationship with him only during their pre-wedding festivities in Goa. It is said that Mouni’s friend and actress Mandira Bedi played a key role in their relationship.
Mouni and Suraj tied the knot according to Bengali and Malayali rituals in Goa. The couple hosted all pre-wedding ceremonies for family members and only close friends.Soon after their wedding in January 2022, they launched Ultimate Gurus, a global Ed-Tech platform. Later in 2023, the celebrity couple launched the high-end restaurant Badmaash across Mumbai. Mouni has been private about her personal relationships. The actress hasn't deleted her wedding pictures with her husband Suraj yet.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, co-starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. The romantic comedy is scheduled to release in theatres on June 5. She is reportedly playing an important part and shot for it in the U.K. The actress will be headlining Ab Hisaab Hoga with Shaheer Shaikh. It is an MX Player release.Mouni will be returning to
Brahmastra Part Two, which is yet to go on floors. The actress is also headlining Madhur Bhandarkar’s next directorial,
The Wives. The shooting has wrapped and the director is in the middle of its post-production work. It also features Sonali Kulkarni, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhatt, Saurabh Sachdeva, Arjan Bajwa, and Freddy Daruvala.
