As mentioned by the agency, this will allow people to have more privacy and control over their Aadhaar data. Offline Aadhaar Verification Working Details

As of now, not a lot of details related to the working of the same have been revealed. However, it is being said that the same will happen via QR codes. The system will also rely on something dubbed 'proof of presence' that will authorise a user via a face scan, something pretty identical to what we see in the case of DigiYatra at airports. For those who are unaware, UIDAI is working on a new Aadhaar application, and the offline Aadhaar verification feature will be a part of the same.
