Kaushal has finally watched Dhurandhar 2. The actor, who worked with Aditya Dhar as the lead of his first directorial, Uri – The Surgical Strike, gave a shoutout to the team on Instagram Story. He praised Aditya for the ‘gold standard’ direction. Vicky has been close to Dhar and Yami Gautam. Amid Dhurandhar’s success, netizens are demanding the revival of the duo’s shelved film, The Immortal Ashwatthama, which was announced many years back. Later, Shahid Kapoor was brought on board with a new production house backing it. However, the project hasn’t gone on floors yet.

Dhurandhar 2, saying he is proud and in absolute awe of Aditya’s craft, hard work and sincerity. “Nothing short of gold standard. You deserve every bit of this success,” he wrote, before mentioning Ranveer Singh ‘inspires’ him as a performer. He lauded R Madhavan’s performance, calling him a ‘joy to watch’. “Sir tussi kamaal ho,” he said for Rakesh Bedi, and everyone agreed. Ending his note, Vicky wrote, “Each and every department... the whole team... kudos! Aap sabhi Dhurandhar ho!”

At the recently held International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD), Vicky was asked about
Dhurandhar 2. The actor said he had not watched the film. "I'm just very happy to see how 'Dhurandhar' is working. I loved the first part, I'm yet to watch the second part,” he said, before adding, “But Aditya is a great filmmaker, he's got a great cast together and I'm so happy that everyone is loving the film so much and I can't wait to catch it as soon as I go back to Mumbai.”

Prior to the release of
Dhurandhar 2, there were reports of Vicky making a special appearance in the film as Vihaan Shergill, his Uri – The Surgical Strike’s character. After Dhurandhar, netizens noticed a possible connection between the spy film and the 2019 movie. In the latter, Vicky’s character, Vihaan, meets Indian Air Force pilot – Flight Lieutenant Seerat Kaur, whose army officer husband is martyred in an ambush. Now, in a viral clip, Kirti Kulhari, who plays Seerat in Uri – The Surgical Strike, reveals her husband’s name. The martyred officer is named
