During a candid chat with us, Ishita Dixit addressed the body-shaming that Ashnoor Kaur faced in the Bigg Boss 19 house. The Anupamaa actress even confessed that she could relate to her experience. Ishita Dixit said, “For me, it’s very personal because I’m also on the chubbier side. When I saw what happened, I was frustrated and hurt. Body-shaming should never be normalised for anyone. Every person has a different body, colour, and shape—that’s what makes us unique,” Ishita added. Ishita Dixit also slammed Kunickaa and Tanya for passing such comments against Ashnoor Kaur. She said, “If someone calls Kunickaa Sadanand ‘aunty’ on the show, she wouldn’t like it. Similarly, if someone referred to Tanya Mittal as fake, she would not appreciate it either. That’s why I felt personally hurt by what happened.” Talking about Ishita Dixit, the actress’ character in Anupamaa is also dealing with issues of body-shaming in the show. Ishita doesn’t endorse such trolling, as she believes in body positivity and self-acceptance. Stay tuned for more updates!
