In a candid chat with us, Suparn Varma was asked how he decided to cast Yami Gautam in Haq. The director said, “The minute Rishu and I finished researching and kind of creating a story document from start to end, the first name that popped up was Yami Gautam and I have realised in life that manifestation is a very powerful tool. You ask for me, go for it, and usually things happen. So we went to her. She heard the story and said she loves it and asked us to come back with a script. We went, and here we are. It was literally as real as that.”
