Bad Bunny possibly grabbed the most eyeballs at the Met Gala 2026 for something he did that nobody saw coming. The Puerto Rican rapper-actor transformed into a hyper-realistic 53-year-old version of himself, leaving many unable to recognise him. He used advanced prosthetics designed by Mike Marino to give a twist to this year's "Costume Art" theme. Dubbed the "King of Latin Trap", Bunny is instrumental in helping Spanish-rap reach mainstream global popularity, making him one of the greatest Latino rappers of all time. He won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2025, becoming the first in Spanish to win the honour.Bad Bunny embraces his old selfAt the Met Gala 2026, Bad Bunny paired his bold look with a custom black tuxedo, exploring ageing
and identity. Holding a walking cane, sporting white hair, and hyper-realistic face and hand makeup, Bunny gave other attendees and the media the most shocking transformations of the year with his look that also became the most talked-about. The black bow was a tribute to designer Charles James's 1947 gown Bustle. For the unversed, Bustle is also a part of the Costume Institute's permanent collection. As per reports, his overall appearance was a nod to the Met's Costume Art exhibit, with a focus on exploring the aging body.
