Sundar
Pichai has always been wiser than others when it comes to assessing the whole situation in the tech industry. And pretty recently, in an interview with the BBC, the Google CEO has dropped a warning bomb for all the companies that are going big on AI. He described the scenario as an extraordinary moment but also said that it consists of irrational elements. The impact of AI is huge in the current market, and one of the examples is Alphabet, the parent company of Google, whose share shot up by 46 percent this year.
Sundar Pichai On AI Bubble
When asked in the BBC interview if the AI bubble burst would affect Alphabet, Sundar Pichai said, 'I think no company is going to be immune, including us.' He further added that Alphabet will, of course, 'weather the storm,' but the negative impact of the bubble burst will surely shake all the tech giants, including Google. Talking about the current scenario, the investments made in AI are already attracting concern from legal bodies. In US, broader markets are now talking about the overheated valuations of these AI companies. However, Sundar Pichai also said that this could be the period of technological transformation despite a few negative aspects.

This also goes in sync with the statement given by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer as he wants to bring the UK to the table as the world's third major AI superpower following United States and China. And this is not only what Sundar Pichai's thinks, most of the big names in tech, including Jeff Bezoz and even Sam Altman, shared the same thought in different events. Bezos said, 'When people get very excited as they are today about artificial intelligence, for example, every experiment gets funded. And investors have a hard time in the middle of this excitement, distinguishing between the good ideas and the bad ideas.'
