The film, based on India’s first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar, received praise for its strong performances and hard-hitting story. Kartik also won awards for his powerful portrayal. Now, the "champions" are set to reunite for a new project. While rumours about the actor and director's second collaboration have been doing the rounds for a while, Kartik seems to have finally confirmed it in his special post on Chandu Champion’s anniversary.

Kartik Aaryan Celebrates Two Years Of Chandu Champion

Kartik marked two years of Chandu Champion with an emotional note, describing the film as the most special project of his career. Reflecting on his journey, he said that portraying the Paralympic gold medallist transformed him both professionally and personally. The actor shared that the 18 kilos he lost for the role were insignificant compared to the lessons and experiences he gained from the film.Kartik said that Chandu Champion was not just the story of a man who refused to give up, but also a tale of resilience, perseverance and turning setbacks into comebacks. He revealed that every early morning, every drop of sweat and every moment of self-doubt during the shoot felt less like acting and more like living the character's journey.The actor credited Murlikant Petkar's story for teaching him that dreams are often ridiculed before they are celebrated and that success belongs to those who refuse to quit. He thanked director Kabir Khan for trusting him with such an important story, producer Sajid Nadiadwala for making the film possible, and the entire team for supporting him throughout the challenging process.

Last year, Kabir had teased that he was in talks with Kartik for an exciting project. At the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), he said that the script was ready, but they had to figure out the dates and other details.Up next, Kartik will be seen in Naagzilla, which is slated for a release on August 14, 2026. The film is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, known for his witty humour in the Fukrey franchise.
