His TVK became the single-largest party in the 2026 Assembly elections, winning 108 seats. With TVK's victory, over 50 years of dominance by the Dravidian majors (DMK and AIADMK) have come to an end. Amid this, KVN Productions founder Venkat K Narayan hinted at the possibility of the release of Jana Nayagan. For the unversed, the release of the Thalapathy Vijay starrer scheduled for January 9, 2026, was officially postponed due to censorship issues.

During a media interaction, KVN Productions founder Venkat K Narayan was seen giving positive signs about the release of Vijay's Jana Nayagan. Expressing his happiness over Vijay becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, he shared that everybody thought Jana Nayagan was just a movie but now the actor is "Jana Nayagan of Tamil Nadu." He further added that the makers are waiting for the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certificate and as soon as they get it, they will release the film in theatres.
