Kanye West concert cancelled in New Delhi
Taking to Instagram, the organisers of the event put out an official statement explaining to fans why the concert titled Ye Live In India had to be shelved. They cited "directives issued by officials" as the official reason for cancellation and shared they were "deeply disheartened" to cancel. The upcoming show was going to be one of the largest live events staged in India but they didn't want to compromise on the safety and well-being of attendees.
They also thanked fans, partners, crew members and supporters who stood by them during this time. However, organisers were also hopeful that the New Delhi concert could be rescheduled for a different date and venue. They added that they were in talks with Ye's team on the change. The rapper's India debut was originally due to be held on March 29, 2026 but amidst the US-Iran global conflict, the show was pushed back to May 23 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. Fans will have to wait a bit longer for the US rapper's India debut. Earlier this year, even Shakira's much-anticipated India concert was called off.
How to get refund for cancelled Kanye West concert
The event organisers stated that all ticket holders who bought their tickets from the official platform, District, would get back their money in 5 to 7 business days. They would receive a full refund, as the show was officially cancelled. According to a report in Live Mint, tickets purchased were in the range of Rs 7,500 to Rs 30,000.
