Imran
Khan is set to make his comeback after what feels like an ages now! The actor is set to feature in Vir Das debut directional Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos, 11 years after his film Katti Batti, released in 2015. Now, during a recent interview, he shared his thoughts on the cameo role in the upcoming film and the reason behind the long hiatus. He mentioned how the idea 'came from a place of FOMO (Fear of missing out)'. For the unversed, Vir Das plays the titular role in this film, backed by Aamir Khan Productions.
Imran Khan talks about cameo in Happy Patel
In a candid conversation with
NDTV, Imran Khan expressed, "My part is a cameo that came from a place of FOMO (Fear of missing out). True story—Vir was developing the project. And as he was moving through the stages of development, various friends of mine were getting attached. It started, of course, with my uncle (Aamir Khan) getting attached as a producer. And I would hear little snippets here and there. And then Mithila, who I got to know because we acted together in
Katti Batti—we've remained friends over the years. And she was telling me a lot of fun stuff about the way the project was going.”He concluded with, "Then and there, I texted Vir. So this particular film is one that I joined just because all my friends were there and doing something that looked like fun.”
