actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief is being examined as a witness as investigators continue to probe alleged lapses and accountability linked to the incident. The renewed summons signals that the agency is seeking further clarity after his earlier marathon questioning, as the case remains one of the most closely watched investigations involving a public figure in recent times.

Vijay to be questioned by CBI at 11 am

The CBI has asked Vijay to depose again after questioning him for more than six hours at its headquarters on January 12. Although he was initially asked to appear the very next day, the actor requested another date, citing Pongal celebrations. He is now expected to appear before investigators around 11 am. TVK functionaries stated that Vijay is likely to return to Chennai late on Monday itself, unless the agency decides to extend the questioning further.

As per the latest reports, CBI is set to re-examine several aspects of Vijay and TVK members' previous statements. The CBI has detected a pattern and similarities in certain responses recorded by TVK party members, as well as Vijay's driver so far.
