The
tragic demise of legendary film producer RB Choudary has left the South film industry in shock. The 79-year-old filmmaker died in a fatal car accident in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Known for delivering several hits under his banner Super Good Films, Choudary left an indelible mark on Indian cinema. His memorable projects include Poove Unakkaga, Love Today, Suryavamsam (also remade in Hindi), and Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen, among others. After the sad news of his passing surfaced online, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, and other South stars offered condolences and expressed grief.
Industry Mourns RB Choudhary's Demise
Rajinikanth said that his "dear friend" was a top-notch producer and a wonderful human being who gave opportunities to many young directors and played a key role in sustaining the film industry. He added that the news of his untimely demise left him deeply shocked and saddened, and extended his condolences to the family. He also prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
Chiranjeevi said that he was deeply heartbroken over the sudden and tragic loss of the legendary producer. He shared that he had known Choudary for many years and had recently worked with him on
Godfather. He added that the producer shaped the careers of many directors and actors and brought numerous stories to life. The superstar called his contribution to Indian cinema beyond words and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Former actress Khushbu Sundar said that she was deeply saddened by the passing of the renowned producer. She described him as a thorough gentleman and one of the most respected members of the film fraternity. She added that his untimely demise came as a shock and said she would always remember him for his warm smile and firm handshake.
