The actress got married to the Hollywood actor and posted pictures from their wedding on social media. Heather was the first wife of the late Dawson's Creek actor James. She got married to him in 2003 and divorced in 2010. A few hours ago, the actress posted a series of dreamy photos from her big day with Scott. While sharing the snaps on social media, the actress penned a heartfelt note. They exchanged wedding vows in Missoula Montana.

Heather took to her official Instagram handle and shared the good news. In the caption, the actress mentioned that she and Scott got married surrounded by the people they love the most. She further thanked to their family and friends who travelled from all over the country to be with them on their special day. "Our hearts are full and humbled by all of the love that we were surrounded by. God is so good," she penned.
Heather added that their loved ones made it magical weekend that they would never forget. She expressed gratitude to all for making their big day 'special'. "We are sitting her counting our many blessings," she added. The actress went on to share good words for the wedding decorator, DJ, people who did flower arrangements, and others. "Thank you for everything. We love you all," wrote Heather.

Meanwhile, Heather's former husband, James Van Der Beek, passed away in February 2026. He died at the age of 48 due to stage three colorectal cancer. He is survived by his second wife Kimberly and their six children - Olivia, Joshua, Annabel, Emilia, Gwendolyn and Jeremiah. After his tragic demise, Heather paid an emotional tribute to her ex-husband James. She was on good terms with him even after their divorce. "I am heartbroken over the loss of beloved James. I am especially heartbroken for his incredible wife Kimberly, his beautiful children and his amazing family, Jim, Jared, Juliana and all of his family and friends who I know he loved deeply," a part of her note read.
