Did
you ever notice Rajesh Khanna’s look-alike on your Instagram feed? Well, that is definitely not the veteran actor; he is his grandson, Aarav Bhatia – the son of Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. The 23-year-old might not be paparazzi-regular, but whenever he is in India, his public appearances leave netizens gushing over his good looks and charming personality. In several interviews, Akshay revealed that Aarav is a harsh critic of his films and it is not easy to impress him. Despite having such strong inclinations, Bhatia prefers staying away from showbiz.
Why is Aarav Bhatia not an actor?
Aarav, born into a prestigious film family, chose to pursue a different career. He left home for higher education at the age of 15. He graduated from United World College Of South East Asia (UWCSEA) in Tampines, Singapore. According to
Akshay’s previous interviews, Aarav wants to become a fashion designer. It is unclear whether he has chosen that as his career or is still contemplating his choices.
In a previous interview with Hindustan Times, Akshay revealed Aarav isn’t interested in acting. Kumar said he wants his son to watch his movies, tell him stories about film sets and share life lessons. However, Aarav isn’t interested in understanding the world of cinema and what it has to offer, even in terms of entertainment. “He wants to study or do his fashion designing,” he added. Akshay also clarified Aarav ‘wants to do his fashion designing and he is into that.’ On Shikhar Dhawan’s podcast, Akshay said Aarav lives alone and is independent. “He does his own laundry, he is a good cook, does the utensils and doesn't even want to buy expensive clothes,” he shared.
Aarav Bhatia's Bollywood connect
While Aarav isn’t a part of the Bollywood circuit, he definitely has a large and strong friends circle that includes children of superstars, such as Ajay Devgn and Kajol’s daughter Nysa Devgan and popular social media influencer Orry.
Aarav Bhatia was terrified of Vidya Balan for THIS reason
Amid the promotions of
Bhooth Bangla, Akshay revealed in an interview that Aarav watched his film Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) and was terrified of Vidya Balan for six years. The actress played Avni, who deals with a mental health disorder wherein she considers herself Manjulika, a deceased Bengali dancer. Aarav’s paparazzi appearances are awaited by Akshay’s fans. His good looks help associate fans with his grandfather, Rajesh Khanna.
