Peddi Box Office Collection Day 10: Ram Charan's Peddi has officially crossed the Rs 200 crore net mark on its Day 10 in theatres, adding another major milestone for the Indian box office. The second weekend of the sports-action drama continues to run strong and has now joined the list of the fastest Telugu films to reach the coveted benchmark. This comes despite the Buchi Babu Sana directorial running into controversy over the portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor's character onscreen. But, it looks like the online backlash has not stopped the movie to stay strong in the big box office race at the ticketing windows.Peddi maintained a decent momentum in its opening week and then picked up good collections on the second Saturday. The weekend boom reflected
in the online bookings as the audiences kept thronging theatres across the major markets.
Peddi enters Rs 200 crore elite clubAccording to trade tracker Sacnilk, Peddi saw a sharp increase in bookings as compared to the previous day. Between 1 PM and 2 PM on Saturday (Day 10), the film sold more than 10,000 tickets through BookMyShow, nearly double Friday's figures for the same time period. Overall sales between 7 AM and 2 PM also showed significant growth, indicating a healthy weekend boost.By Day 10 afternoon, Peddi had already added fresh collections from nearly 1,800 tracked shows nationwide. The film's India net total crossed Rs 200 crore, while its domestic gross moved beyond Rs 238 crore, cementing its status as one of the biggest Telugu hits of the year. The achievement also places Peddi ahead of the lifetime domestic gross collection of They Call Him OG, which concluded its theatrical run below the current earnings of Ram Charan's latest release. Peddi among fastest Telugu films to reach the milestoneWith this feat, Peddi has become the ninth-fastest Telugu film to enter the Rs 200 crore India net club. While blockbuster event films such as RRR, Pushpa 2: The Rule, Salaar, Kalki 2898 AD, and Baahubali 2 reached the mark much quicker, Peddi has still managed to outperform several major commercial successes. The film's steady pace, combined with strong second-weekend support, has helped it secure a spot among Tollywood's biggest performers in recent years.Peddi's overseas performancePeddi has also been doing well overseas, especially in North America, where it's nearing the lifetime earnings of a few notable Telugu releases. A strong word of mouth, sustained audience interest and weekend growth have worked in its favour, so far.
