Was That Really Suriya in the Karuppu Climax? Here’s The Truth
The film recently found itself at the centre of online discussion after an image circulating on social media led some viewers to believe a body double was used in the climax sequence. The viral image of a man dressed as Karuppasamy, the fierce Dravidian guardian deity, created confusion among fans. Hashtags linked to the film further left fans wondering, with some viewers compare Suriya’s appearance to his earlier “lover boy” image in films, while others even felt a resemblance to his brother Karthi.
Putting all speculation to rest, sources close to the production have confirmed exclusively to Zoom that there is no truth to the body double claims. According to the source, Suriya shot the climax portions of Karuppu, delivering the performance with complete dedication and intensity. The source added that the actor appeared almost unrecognisable due to a significant physical transformation. His look was enhanced using makeup designed by renowned artist Preetisheel Singh, known for her work in Pushpa and Dhurandhar franchises.
