Karuppu continues to perform well at the box office even on Day 25, collecting Rs 53 lakh on Monday. Directed by RJ Balaji and also starring Trisha Krishnan, the film saw an 18.8 percent drop from Sunday but maintained good weekday occupancy. Despite its upcoming OTT release on June 12, the film continues to win audiences. Karuppu is now the highest grossing Tamil film of the year, and has ended the dry-spell in Suriya's career. It has beat several films including Thalapathy Vijay's Master and Varisu to take the top slot.

According to trade reports, the film’s major contribution on Monday came from occupancy levels, which stood at around 19 percent, helping it earn Rs 48 lakh from theatrical shows. The Telugu version also contributed Rs 5 lakh with an occupancy of 18 percent.Despite entering its fourth week and facing an upcoming OTT release announcement, Karuppu continues to show good numbers at the box office.

On its fourth Sunday, the film collected Rs 1.75 crore, followed by Rs 1.47 crore on Saturday and Rs 83 lakh on Friday. The film had a powerful start, collecting over Rs 113.85 crore in its first week. It followed up with Rs 54.30 crore in its second week and Rs 21.20 crore in its third week. With Monday’s addition, the film’s India net collection now stands at Rs 193.93 crore, while the gross domestic total has reached Rs 224.15 crore. Overseas, Karuppu added Rs 10 lakh on Monday, taking its overseas total to Rs 80.70 crore. This pushes the film’s worldwide collection to an impressive Rs 304.85 crore.Globally, Karuppu currently trails films like Leo and The GOAT in lifetime box office rankings. However, it continues to outperform several other big Tamil releases, including Vijay’s Master and Sarkar, by a significant margin in overall collections.

Karuppu OTT Release Date

The makers have officially announced that Karuppu will begin streaming on June 12 across multiple languages, including its Telugu version titled Veerabhadrudu on Prime Video. The film features Suriya as Karuppuswamy, with RJ Balaji playing the antagonist Advocate Baby Kannan. The ensemble cast includes Trisha Krishnan, Shivada, Indrans, Anagha Maya Ravi, and Swasika, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar. In the film, the guardian deity Vettai Karuppu takes on the guise of a lawyer to battle corruption within a court system that exploits a young girl in need of a liver transplant.
