About King
Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming 2026 film
King is a highly anticipated action thriller. SRK plays a ruthless and dark character, described as a gray-shaded, skilled assassin or hitman as he can be heard saying in the teaser, “
Kitne khoon kiye ye yaad nahi. Ache log they ya bure kabhi pucha nahi. Bas unki aankhon me ehsas dekha, ye unki aakhri saans hai. Aur main uski wajah. Hazaar jurm, 100
deshon me badnam, duniya ne diya, sirf ek hi naam. Darr nahi deh shat hoon." The film reportedly follows two different time periods, where a young and action-packed Khan will be seen fighting against different adversaries. It will highlight the 'guru-disciple' relationship between King and Suhana Khan's characters.
Besides SRK and Suhana, the cast includes Abhishek Bachchan as the main antagonist, along with
Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Raghav Juyal, Akshay Oberoi, Abhay Verma, and others. Meanwhile, an earlier report stated that the budget for
King is around Rs 350 crore, excluding the money that Shah Rukh Khan and his team will decide to spend on printing, promotion and other incidental expenses. The report also mentioned that the film has six extraordinary action sequences, designed to perfection. Three of these were shot in real locations, while the remaining three will be filmed on set.
