Nandamuri Balakrishna's Akhanda 2: Thaandavam which released in cinemas on 12 December has opened to mixed reviews at the box office. The action drama which was first set to hit screens on 5 December cleared
legal hurdles and made way to cinema halls after a week's delay. With the film now playing in the silver screen, the latest report also suggests that the makers have sealed the OTT release details of the film.
Akhanda 2 OTT Release: Nandamuri Balakrishna's Film To Stream On THIS OTT Platform?
As per a report by OTTPlay, the makers of Akhanda 2 have locked its digital streaming partner. It is reported that Netflix has acquired the rights to stream the movie online. However, an official announcement is yet to be made. The film is likely to make its digital release in January 2026. This release plan also hints at why the Hindi version did not get a wider release in national multiplex chains, as the makers are likely to have focused more on regional theatrical run followed by a OTT launch. Akhanda 2 sees Balakrishna reprise the role of Akhanda who fights against evil with his divine energy. The sequel introduces a new antagonist, played by Aadhi Pinisetty, who is portrayed as someone with supernatural powers.
