The Marvel superhero series Spider-Noir starring Nicolas Cage is gearing up for a 2026 release. Based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, the show will be released to audiences in both black and white
and colour. Part of Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU), Nicolas Cage had earlier played Spider-Man Noir in Sony's animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018).
Spider-Noir to release in two versions on OTT
On Instagram, two different versions of the
Spider-Noir poster were released to confirm its dual versions. Amazon Prime Video captioned their post, "The city needs a hero…hopefully they find someone. “Spider-Noir” – a new live action series starring Nicolas Cage – arrives 2026 in both black & white and color."
The poster shows the office door of B. Reilly, Private Investigator, with his silhouette peeking through. The official synopsis of the eight-episode series states, "Spider-Noir tells the story of Ben Reilly (Cage), an aging and down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero."

The superhero series' guest star cast includes Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the series is helmed by co-showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot. They have developed the series with the Oscar-winning team of
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. Emmy winner Harry Bradbeer has directed the first two episodes.

In the US,
Spider-Noir will be shown on MGM+ in 2026. For the rest of the world, Spider-Noir will be available a day later on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
