Bhooth Bangla - Netflix
Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar, Tabu, the late Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Jisshu Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar and Wamiqa Gabbi, follows the story of an NRI, Arjun Acharya, who returns to his ancestral roots after his sister Meera inherits their grandfather’s property in Mangalpur. He decides to get her married at the isolated mansion. However, their father, Dr Vasudev Acharya is unaware of this plan. When he learns about Arjun and Meera’s visit to Mangalpur, he warns them to drop the idea of making their ancestral property the venue for the wedding. It is revealed that a demon named Vadhusur abducts brides for human sacrifice. Before threat comes knocking at his door, Arjun decides to uncover the truth.
Karuppu – Amazon Prime Video
Set in a contemporary world, Suriya’s film
Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji, focuses on the battle between good and evil exists within human hearts today. It tells the story of an advocate who happens to be the human form of the guardian deity Karuppusamy. The film follows the advocate’s journey to wipe corruption from the judicial system. Karuppu is based on a screenplay by Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, TS Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar.
Raakh - Amazon Prime Video
Raakh is set against the backdrop of late 1970s Delhi. Without ado, the trailer reveals that a heinous crime has taken place and the investigation has to kick off immediately. The parents of two missing children are hopeful that the police will locate them. But it is not an easy case. Sub-inspector Jayprakash launches a relentless manhunt that drags him into the twisted psyche of the perpetrators, exposing a lack of morality so extreme it reveals the very darkest corners of human evil.
