2 is scripting history at the box office with each passing day! The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, has been unstoppable since its release. Starring Ranveer Singh as Hamza Ali Mazari/Jaskirat Singh Rangi, the spy thriller was theatrically released on March 19. With earnings of Rs 890.80 crore, the movie has taken over Pushpa 2's Hindi version. Produced by JioStudios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar The Revenge clashed with Pawan Kalyan's Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
Dhurandhar 2 breaks Pushpa 2 Hindi's record
According to trade expert Taran Adarsh,
Dhurandhar The Revenge collected a whopping Rs 890.80 crore in India. With this, it shattered
Pushpa 2's Hindi version record, which is Rs 812 crore.
Additionally, Ranveer's
Dhurandhar 2 made a staggering Rs 1,361.95 crore at the worldwide box office, as per
Sacnilk. The way Aditya Dhar's film is performing at the ticket windows is phenomenal. It remains to be seen which records
Dhurandhar 2 will break further.
Aditya Uppal on Dhurandhar 2 being called 'propaganda'
Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview with
Zoom, Aditya Uppal reacted to the film being called '
propaganda'. The actor, who plays Omar Haider in
Dhurandhar 2, stated that the film's intent is pure and that it has been made with sincerity and honesty."Even if some people interpret certain aspects differently, that’s their perspective and it should be respected. The majority of the audience has appreciated the film and understands that while it is inspired by true events, it is still a cinematic adaptation. I would just say that before calling it propaganda, people should watch it with an open mind," he said.

Dhurandhar The Revenge brings back Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, R Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, and Rakesh Bedi as Jameel Jamali. As for Sara Arjun, she reprises her character of Yalina Jamali. Danish Pandor plays Uzair Baloch, while Danish Iqbal is seen as Bade Sahab (Dawood Ibrahim). Manav Gohil and Saumya Tandon also reprise their characters, Bansal and Ulfat, from part one. Gaurav Gera, too, plays his character Aalam.
While the film is currently playing in theatres, it will eventually stream online. The second part will premiere on JioHotstar after the theatrical run ends. As for part one, it hit the big screen on December 5, 2025. Days after
