Ibrahim has shared a worrying health update about his father, revealing that he suffered another stroke on May 23 and has now been admitted to the ICU. The actor took to social media to request prayers from fans and well-wishers, stating that the next 24 hours are extremely critical. The news has left fans deeply concerned, especially since Shoaib’s father has already battled serious health complications in the past, including a brain hemorrhage and partial paralysis after a previous stroke. Times have been tough for the family as Dipika Kakar, Shoaib's wife, battled liver cancer last year.

Shoaib Ibrahim's father suffers stroke

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Shoaib Ibrahim informed fans that his father had suffered another stroke earlier in the morning and was immediately rushed to the hospital. “Need all your prayers & duas for Papa. Papa again had a stroke this morning and has been admitted to the ICU. Please, please keep him in your prayers. The next 24 hrs are crucial,” Shoaib wrote.Take a look at his post:

This is not the first time Shoaib’s father has faced a serious medical emergency. Back in July 2021, the Ibrahim family had gone through a similarly difficult period after his father suffered a major brain stroke and had to be admitted to the ICU. At the time, both Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar had publicly requested fans to pray for his recovery.Shoaib later shared updates explaining that while the veins in the brain were not severely damaged during the stroke, his father had to remain under observation in the ICU for several days. Following the 2021 stroke, he developed partial paralysis on the left side of his body because of a clot formed during the medical emergency. Earlier in February 2021 as well, Shoaib Ibrahim had updated followers about his father undergoing surgery.

Difficult time for Ibrahim family

The Ibrahim family has been through a very tough time, with multiple health-related struggles recently. Dipika Kakar herself underwent cyst removal surgery not long ago after battling stage 2 liver cancer. As part of her treatment, Dipika had undergone tumour removal surgery in June 2025. Later, the actress shared that she was finally tumour-free after the successful procedure. Over the past several months, Dipika has openly documented her health journey and recovery process through her YouTube channel, where she frequently updates fans about her treatment and family life.

With Dipika's father-in-law being hospitalised, millions of her and Shoaib's fans are praying for his good heath and speedy recovery.
