follows the Madras High Court reserving its order on the makers' plea regarding the pending CBFC certification. On January 7, the Madras High Court heard KVN Productions’ appeal. where they claimed that they adhered to the CBFC’s recommendations and were in compliance. Following the news of the delay, several members of the film fraternity are rallying in support of Vijay and the team of the film. With fans already dejected about the postponement, Ravi Mohan, Silambarasan TR, and other celebrities are extending their support for the star. The film marks Vijay's 69th outing, and his final film before his full-fledged political stint.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) raised concerns about certain scenes. The court has since reserved orders on the issue, leaving the film's release date uncertain. Actor Ravi Mohan posted on X, "Heartbroken @actorvijay Anna.. as a brother I’m standing with you as one among the millions of brothers beside you. You don’t need a date.. you are the opening. Whenever that date is.. Pongal only starts then. #istandwithvijayanna."

Interestingly, Parasakthi, which stars Ravi Mohan as the antagonist opposite Sivakarthikeyan, is set for release on January 10. Until the postponement was announced, the clash between Jana Nayagan and Parasakthi was the most discussed films in recent times.

Just three days ago, Ravi Mohan shared the trailer of Jana Nayagan and praised it on X post. He wrote, "தளபதி வெற்றி கொண்டான். #JanaNayagan Vijay Anna, you have already won for me. In everything. The trailer is super realistically you and I'm sure this movie is winning the hearts of many, including me, your forever fan and brother."

Director Karthik Subbaraj expressed his disappointment over the last-minute delay for a big budget film like Jana Nayagan. He also shared a detailed statement urging the industry to stand united in an X post."Dear @actorvijay anna, Setbacks have never stopped you. You’ve crossed bigger storms than this. This too shall pass, real Thiruvizha begins on the day #Jananayagan releases." posted Silambarasan

Director Venkat Prabhu, who directed Vijay's previous release, GOAT, wrote, "No matter what!! This one is gonna be the BIGGEST farewell in Indian cinema #JanaNayagan".
