composer Jakes Bejoy, who is currently enjoying the success of his film Lokah, is now ready with his latest film Kaantha. Starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, Kaantha which releases on 14 November is based on the life of Tamil film star MK Thyagaraja Bhagavathar. Ahead of the release, music composer Jakes Bejoy has heaped praise of the film, particularly on director Selvamani Sevaraj.

Taking to social media Jakes Bejoy showered appreciation on the cast as well. He called Kaantha a 'gem of a film' "Honoured to have contributed to the background score of Kaantha. Recently, the film's lead actress Bhagyashri Borse reflected on her experience working on the film, and appreciating Selvamani Selvaraj’s faith in her.“Thank you Selvamani Selvaraj Ayya, for believing in me and for this rare opportunity to a newcomer such as me. The film, which is being jointly produced by Spirit Media and Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films, has cinematography by cameraman Dani Sanchez Lopaz and music by Jhanu Chanthar. Ramalingam and editing is by Llewellyn Anthony Gonsalves.On the work front Jakes Bejoy, will compose music for the movie KH 237 directed by Anbariv.
