Bigg Boss 19: Why Is Amaal Mallik Going On In A Loop About Tanya Mittal?
Times Now
Bigg Boss 19: Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, Farhana Bhat, Shehbaaz, Gaurav Khanna, Pranit More, Malti Chahar and Kunickaa Sadanand are the contestants who still remain inside the Bigg Boss 19 house. If social
media is to be believed Mridul Tiwari has been shown the door. What this means is that the pool of contestants within the house of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show has really shrunk. What this also means is that the rivalries between contestants have become more evident – stark. But sometimes, some of these so-called in-house rivalries borderline obsession – take Amaal Mallik’s stand with Tanya Mittal.Bigg Boss 19 has been many things: chaotic, dramatic, mildly existential, and at times, questionably musical. But last night’s episode achieved something extraordinary - it gave us Amaal Mallik on repeat. If you thought your playlist was stuck because your phone glitched, don’t worry - it was just Amaal talking about Tanya Mittal again. And again. And… again.
Last night’s episode was perhaps a prime example. Amaal Mallik, talented, we know, known for his melodious hits seems to have created a new genre in music – Emotional EDM: The Tanya Edit. It seemed that every conversation of Amaal looped back to Tanya. If there’s one contestant who seems to be living rent-free in Amaal Mallik’s mind, it’s Tanya Mittal. In what can be seen as a creative clash during the political captaincy task turned into a full-blown cold war, complete with accusations, emotional showdowns, and an endless loop of tension that refuses to fade between the two. Also Read: Bigg Boss 19: Love Her, Hate Her But You Cannot Ignore Tanya MittalThe political captaincy task set the stage for the latest round of drama. Divided into three camps, Kunickaa Sadanand’s Naari Shakti Party had Tanya and Farhana. But it soon turned sour. As sanchalak, Amaal Mallik’s role was to judge which faction delivered the best campaign - and predictably, controversy followed. Amaal declared Gaurav’s Sangharsh Party the winner of the first round, prompting immediate backlash from Tanya, Kunickaa, and Farrhana. Tanya was especially vocal, taking a firm stand and insisting that the women’s voices were being dismissed.Things only got more charged in the second round, when Amaal began interrogating contestants about their decisions and alliances. While others received routine questions, his tone shifted dramatically when it came to Kunickaa’s team. He prodded Kunickaa about Tanya’s loyalty, before directly asking Tanya if she had betrayed evicted contestant Neelam. Amaal even tried to get Malti Chahar from Shehbaz’s team to “expose” Tanya. Malti wasted no time, calling Tanya “not genuine” and claiming she didn’t even understand the meaning of “spiritual.” Tanya’s temper flared instantly. What started as a mild disagreement turned into a fiery exchange, with Tanya snapping back and calling Malti “stupid.”Also Read: Bigg Boss 19: What Is The Big Deal If Amaal And Malti Know Each Other From Before?Amaal’s fixation on Tanya didn’t stop. In last night’s episode, he found yet another opportunity to pick a fight - this time over something as basic as dinner. When Amaal insisted that everyone must eat together at the common table, Tanya simply refused. But Amaal turned it into a power play, declaring that if Tanya wouldn’t comply, she wouldn’t get food. But this has been going on for some days now. While Tanya and Amaal had been friends for the largest part of the show, her alliance with Farhana, defiance of Neelam somehow set the ball rolling for the two to drift apart, with last Weekend Ka Vaar expose being the final nail on the coffin. Amaal refuses to see reason in a house where the only way forward is perhaps to drown those around you. His obsession with Tanya’s ‘betrayal’ seems to have become all-encompassing and while one cannot judge if it is due to their once-strong friendship, what it is effectively doing is dampening his game. The number of days inside the Bigg Boss 19 house is now limited. And as we brace for another week inside the madhouse, one thing’s for sure: Bigg Boss 19 might change contestants, eliminate alliances, and introduce twists - but Amaal Mallik’s Tanya loop? That’s eternal. Somewhere, even the background score has started humming in sync.
