Taking to her Instagram stories, Shobita Dhulipala said the film had her tearing up. She also went on to say that she would recommend girls to watch it. The post read "Bad girl had me smirking AND tearing up. I felt seen. Beheld. A film that ripens by the minute. Heavily recommend to everyone especially the girls. This one's for us y'all Shout out to @varsha_bharath03 and @anjalisivaraman you guys are simply beyond."The film Bad Girl is now streaming on Jio Hotstar (from 4 November) onwards. The film is available to watch in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi with English subtitles.
Bad Girl premiered in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where it went on to win the NETPAC (Network for Promotion of Asian Cinema) Award. The Hindi dubbed version of the film was released on September 26.
The film stars Anjali Sivaraman, Hridhu Haroon, Teejay Arunasalam, and Shanthipriya in lead roles. A few months earlier, director Vetrimaaran declared that the film Bad Girl will be his last production venture produced by his company, Grass Root Film Company. The decision was declared as the filmmaker spoke about facing challenges in film production, including the financial strain of borrowing money to make films. "We are closing the production company. Bad Girl will be our last production venture," he stated, talking the pressures he has endured as a producer. On the work front, Shobita Dhulipala will soon be seen in Pa Ranjith's Vettuvam.
