and updated, and more importantly, properly linked with essential documents like the PAN card. The deadline to link PAN with Aadhaar is December 31, 2025, and while that may sound distant, UIDAI’s fresh advisory is a nudge that it’s better not to leave it for the last minute. Credit for the reminder goes to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which continues to push for error-free Aadhaar records across the country.How To Download Your Aadhaar EasilyDownloading an e-Aadhaar is one of the simplest chores you can check off, especially if you already have your phone nearby. Just head to the UIDAI website and tap on the ‘Download Aadhaar’ option under the My Aadhaar menu. You can choose to fetch your Aadhaar using the Aadhaar number itself, your Enrollment ID (EID) or even your Virtual ID (VID). Once you’ve picked your option, enter the required number, fill in the captcha, and request an OTP. The OTP will be sent straight to your registered mobile number. After you key it in, UIDAI generates your e-Aadhaar PDF instantly. Start by visiting the official Income Tax portal at incometax.gov.in and look for the ‘Link Aadhaar’ option under Quick Links. Enter your PAN, Aadhaar number and your name exactly as it appears on the Aadhaar card. Once everything matches, proceed to the next step. In some cases, linking the two may attract a small fee, which can be paid online via debit card, net banking or UPI. After the payment (if applicable), submit your request and wait for the confirmation message that your PAN and Aadhaar are officially linked.
