Pyramid Scheme, starring Ranvir Shorey, Shekhar Suman, Paramvir Singh Cheema and Alfia Jafry, is releasing on Amazon Prime Video this Friday (June 5). Created by Shreyansh Pandey, the show blends humour with a real-life story. In the trailer of the TVF-backed series, the prominent attraction is ‘kismat ka tala’ (fortune). As The Pyramid Scheme is about to premiere, Ranvir spoke to Zoom exclusively and revealed which moment in his career he felt that his ‘kismat ka tala’ opened up for him. The most candid confession came from the Ek Tha Tiger actor, who still believes he is waiting for that moment.
Ranvir Shorey on his 'kismat ka tala' khulna moment
Ranvir, who has been in the industry since 2002, told Zoom, “Mere kismat ka tala abhi tak nahin khula hai (The fortunate door hasn’t opened for me yet), so I will wait for that moment.” When his illustrious career was highlighted, the actor added, “Kitne films kiye hai means kitni chabiya bhi toh try ki (I have done many movies that means I have tried those many locks). Tala toh nahin khula (It hasn’t unlocked as of now), I can tell you from my bank account.”
Ranvir Shorey says industry doesn't measure success with monetary factors
Further in the interview, when asked if the Hindi film industry measures success based on monetary factors, Shorey shared, “In our business, I don’t think that is the sole criterion, fortunately. Ours is among the few professions where money is not the only criterion. I am very poor, but I get a lot of love and affection from the audience. I value that quite a bit.”
