Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna, best known for judging MasterChef India, recently took to his social media handle to express his concern over the condition of the carpet at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. While he appreciated the airport’s overall efficiency, he called the carpet “unnecessary and unacceptable,” saying it has become too dirty to clean properly. Highlighting health risks, he urged authorities to remove it. He said that it could cause serious breathing problems, especially for people with asthma or bronchitis. "Though I love & respect the efficiency of Mumbai airport a lot. But having this carpet is absolutely unnecessary & unacceptable. It is beyond cleaning now."He added, "On behalf of every asthmatic & people with bronchitis issues I request the authorities to please look into removing this at the airports. It can lead to serious breathing issues and also fatal."
