Mohan made explosive statements about his marriage with estranged wife Aarti Mohan after his girlfriend Kenishaa Francis hinted at their breakup. During a press conference, Ravi, famously known as Jayam Ravi, got emotional and alleged that he has been denied access to his children, Ayaan and Aarav. He further spoke about causing self-harm and shared that he slit his wrist. The Parashakthi actor alleged that PR groups are being used to cyberbully him. Amid this, Aarti's mother, Sujatha Vijayakumar, has come out in support of his daughter. Speaking to press, she reacted to some of Ravi's allegations.
Aarti Ravi's mother backs her against Ravi Mohan's allegations
At an event, Sujatha Vijayakumar interacted with the media and denied Ravi's accusation that he has been denied access to his children. She further spoke about the circumstances of
Ravi and Aarti's marriage. To this, she recalled explaining the matter in an old magazine interview. She shared that her old interview reveals who got blackmailed and who 'cut their wrists' to get married.
She was also asked if the Parasakthi actor paid Rs 25,000 per month for her hospital bills. Aarti's mother stated that the actor didn't, but even if he did, it was his duty as son-in-law. When asked about if 'three letter actress' mentioned by Ravi was Khusbu Sundar, she said everyone speaks up when injustice is done to women in Tamil Nadu. Sujatha added that many comment on her daughter's posts. And that's why she won't accept if Ravi says that two or three particularly supported her. "I would like to not speak further on this matter, as it would be contempt of court. I have faith in the law," said Aarti's mother.
Aarti Ravi shares first post after Ravi Mohan's emotional outburst
On May 16, Aarti shared her first Instagram post after her estranged husband Ravi's emotional outburst in a press conference. She mentioned in her note, "You never wake a sleeping lion. God help if she's a mamma lion." Aarti added that her dignified silence should never be mistaken for weakness or taken undue advantage of. She vowed to step out of her comfort zone and face the world if she needs to protect her children and own dignity. "Because truth always prevails."
For those unaware, Aarti and Ravi got married on June 4, 2009. After 15 years of marriage, the duo announced their separation in 2024. Since then, their divorce proceedings are underway.
