Dhurandhar 2 Singer Satinder Sartaaj Is The First Guest On Baatein Dil Se With Navika Kumar
Satinder Sartaaj is a singer, songwriter, actor and poet known primarily for Punjabi music. He holds a PhD in Sufi singing from Panjab University and also taught music there for six years. When Navika Kumar, Editor-in-Chief of the Times Group, asked him about the song
Sai Ve that truly launched his fame, Sartaaj gave a heartfelt answer.
He said, "Until a song is made, you won't get food. Where will a new song come from every day? It's something that comes naturally. You can't just produce it on demand. So one day you end up a bit hungry too,
mizaz mein thodi vo khalish bhi hai. But you still have to stay disciplined. So from that struggle, that inner dichotomy, it emerged."
Navika Kumar also asked if he feels pressure to adapt his style for Gen Z audiences to add new beats and stay trendy. Sartaaj responded, "I have an album. Its name is Travel Diaries. All thirty-one songs are shot on my phone, no professional cameraman. And who is holding the camera? The bus driver from Ottawa."
His song
Jaiye Sajana from
Dhurandhar 2 has already crossed 12 million views on audio alone and is one of the most viral Bollywood tracks right now. In the episode, he also hums his iconic line from this song, making it a must-watch moment.
