Speaking about the plot,
Peddi is a rural sports drama set in the late 1980s that follows a daily wage labourer, played by Ram Charan, who rises as an unlikely cricket hero. Set in a neglected tribal village near Vizianagaram, the film explores the community’s struggle for identity, recognition, and basic rights. While Appalasuri (Jagapathi Babu) fights for government attention, Peddi rallies the villagers through sports, turning cricket into a symbol of resistance and hope in their quest for dignity.
