Helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film was theatrically released on February 13, 2026. Backed by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and VB Films, O'Romeo was off to a decent start at the ticket window. After an opening of Rs 8.5 crore, the movie witnessed growth on day two of its box office collection. The two-day collection of O'Romeo stands at over Rs 20 crore.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, O'Romeo minted Rs 12.25 crore at the box office on day two. The film had earned Rs 8.5 crore at its opening day at the ticket window. For those unaware, O'Romeo is clearly leading the box office game amid clash with Adarsh and Shanaya's Tu Yaa Main. Talking about the film, it is rumoured to be based on Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. In this film, Shahid essays the character of Ustara while Triptii is seen as Afshan.Besides the lead actors, the supporting star cast includes Farida Jalal, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Disha Patani, Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, and others. Avinash is the main antagonist Jalal in the romantic thriller.

Shahid Kapoor on toughest part of O'Romeo

Meanwhile, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Shahid admitted that toughest part of filming O'Romeo was the physical aspect. "The toughest real estate in this film was actually my body," he revealed. The Bollywood actor added that his body was covered in tattoos and it would take two and a half hours to put them on before he would reach the set.

He further described his character as someone who is dark yet soft and can also be funny. "He’s a complete laundiya baaz, yet falls in love to a degree that he loses himself," added Shahid.

Meanwhile, O'Romeo will stream on OTT after its theatrical run ends. The film, which is currently playing in cinema, has locked Amazon Prime Video as its streaming partner.
