been a long time since audiences saw Aashiesh Sharma in a television show. The actor, who is best known for the mythological show Siya Ke Ram, was last seen in Prithvi Vallabh. The show premiered in January 2018 and ended in June that year. Recently, when Zoom exclusively interviewed Aashiesh Sharma, he opened up about his absence from TV. He further reflected on taking a break on the personal front. The actor revealed that his father was critically ill, but is recovering well now. Here's everything he said.

Speaking exclusively to us, Aashiesh said, "On a personal front as well, I had consciously taken a break for almost two years. My father was critically ill. Both Archana (his wife) and I felt it was important to be physically present with him during that phase. Thankfully, he is much better now and recovering well. We are back, putting all our energy into everything we’ve been building."
When the actor was asked if had consciously stepped away from television, Aashiesh clarified that it wasn't about staying away from the medium. For him, it was more about moving towards something meaningful. The actor revealed that he's been building an ecosystem and strong pool of writers, creators and stories."We are now reaching a stage where we are becoming a self-sufficient setup capable of telling our own stories, stories that come from our roots, our land, and our people. A lot of planning and process has gone into building this, and now, slowly, people will begin to see that work unfold one project at a time," he added.

Continuing the conversation, Aashiesh reflected on playing Lord Rama in
Siya Ke Ram, calling it a 'blessing'. The actor admitted that portraying this part on screen was a responsibility for him. "I approached it not merely as an actor, but as a bhakt. I truly believe that characters like these choose you; you don’t choose them. The love and respect I continue to receive for that portrayal is something I will always remain deeply grateful for. It stays with you for life," the actor said and signed off.Meanwhile, on the work front, Aashiesh was recently seen in
