On December 10, two days after Amaal Mallik stepped out of the Bigg Boss 19 house as one of the top 5 finalists, composer-singer duo Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur called him out for claiming that

the chartbuster song, Bekhayali from Kabir Singh, was composed by him. Accusing Mallik of stealing credit and making false claims, the couple issued a video on Instagram. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Amaal finally reacted to the allegations.

Amaal Mallik reacts to Sachet-Parampara's allegations

While talking about remixes and remakes of songs and facing allegations from Sachet and Parampara, Amaal told us, “I’ll take the bullet but speak the truth. If someone wants to malign my name within the industry, which they do, if someone wants to say through interviews ki usne bhi remix kiya toh kiya. Nahi. Kabhi bola ki yeh gaana mera hai ya bola ki recreate nahi kiya? People put their names on other’s songs and say maine banaya. Never done that. Has any composer whose song I have recreated woken up and said he has destroyed my song? Never. You go and see what has happened before.”Mallik signed off by saying, “They never say this on my face because half of them are afraid of me and that is the truth. They will never come and talk to me. They will say it on Instagram and not do a court case. If anyone has a problem, go to the court straight up. Do a case of defamation if you feel I have copied your music.”

Sachet-Parampara call out Amaal Mallik for stealing credit

Sachet and Parampara said in their video, “Actually, we never thought that we would have to clarify all these things, but this is something that we purely created. We are talking about Bekhayali, which Amaal Mallik claims he made some time ago," they said in the video.They added, "We have all the chats with Amaal Mallik; we have all the chats with the Kabir Singh team because the entire Kabir Singh team was there when we created this song. Every melody, every composition, every arrangement, every lyric was done when the entire team was there, and it is purely a Sachet and Parampara original composition."Sachet and Parampara also urged Amaal to come forward and present proof that Bekhayali was composed by him, as they also mentioned that the songs of Kabir Singh were curated and locked at Shahid Kapoor’s office under Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s supervision.
