Potter reboot is in the making. As the series is currently on floors, the makers shared a latest development. HBO announced that Hans Zimmer and Bleeding Fingers will compose the new score for series, which will debut in 2027. Harry Potter’s television reboot will stream on HBO and HBO Max. In an official statement, Hans, Kara and Anže opened up about the legacy of the title and their approach towards the series’ music. Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout have been cast to play Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, respectively. The official release date hasn’t been announced.

In a statement to HBO, Hans Zimmer, Kara Talve, and Anže Rozman said, "The musical legacy of Harry Potter is a touch point for composers everywhere and we are humbled to join such a remarkable team on a project of this magnitude. The responsibility is something that myself, Kara Talve and Anže Rozman do not take lightly. Magic is all around us, often just beyond reach, but as in the world of Harry Potter, you simply must look for it. With this score we hope to bring audiences that little bit closer to it whilst honouring what has come before.”

Recently, he worked on F1: The Movie. In 2026, Zimmer will be making his Bollywood musical debut with Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s Ramayana: The Introduction.
