Bigg Boss 19 contestant Malti Chahar has finally broken her silence on the relationship rumours linking her to singer-composer Amaal Mallik, issuing a firm and emotional clarification that leaves little room for speculation. In a strongly worded statement shared on X, formerly Twitter, following her exit from the Bigg Boss house, Malti categorically denied any romantic involvement with the composer and called out what she described as a “disrespectful narrative” created around her name.Taking to Twitter, Mali began, “Let’s clear this once and for all,” addressing the rumours head-on. She clarified that there was never a relationship, nor any kind of “ship” between her and Amaal. According to Malti, their interaction was limited and brief. “He
asked for my number, and we met only once. We talked and shared some personal information. After that, we were in touch over the phone. That’s it! There was nothing else between us,” she stated, firmly shutting down the speculation.
Malti also addressed a moment from the show that fuelled curiosity among viewers—when she mentioned, “bahar ki baat nahi karenge.” She explained that her comment was widely misunderstood and had nothing to do with hiding a romantic connection. “I meant that I would not share his personal information,” she clarified, adding that her intention was rooted in basic respect and boundaries, not secrecy. However, what appears to have deeply upset Malti was Amaal Mallik’s alleged remarks on the show. She accused the composer of creating a fake narrative that highlighted her as someone trying to impress him, along with making derogatory comments on her character. “It was disrespectful,” Malti said, adding that she became aware of these statements only after stepping out of the Bigg Boss house. The actress also touched upon Amaal’s repeated mentions of his mental health struggles, both before and during the show. Malti revealed that she was empathetic at the time, trying to be supportive so that Amaal wouldn’t have regrets later. However, she admitted, “Now, I’m the one regretting it,” hinting at how her goodwill may have backfired.Concluding her statement, Malti made a clear and heartfelt request: “That’s all. Spare me now. Please don’t associate my name with his.” The message resonated as a firm boundary-setting moment—one that reflects the toll public speculation can take on personal dignity.
