Akshay Kumar's Security Vehicle Accident Case: Driver Booked For Rash, Negligent Driving

Akshay Kumar's security vehicle witnessed a dramatic accident on Monday evening near the Silver Beach Café in Juhu when a speeding Mercedes collided with an autorickshaw, which then hit the escort car

of the actor, damaging the actor’s SUV. In the latest development, the driver of the Mercedes, identified as Radheshyam Rai, was arrested on Tuesday. The registration of a case for rash and negligent driving at Juhu Police Station, ANI reported. He has been charged under Sections 281, 125(A), and 125(B) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

As per reports,the incident occurred as Akshay Kumar and his wife, Twinkle Khanna, had just returned to Mumbai from an overseas trip. While two people were injured in the chain collision, all involved - including the autorickshaw driver and passengers - are reported to be safe. Eyewitnesses stated that Akshay immediately stepped out of his vehicle to assist the autorickshaw occupants, who were momentarily trapped under the entourage vehicle after being struck by the Mercedes.

Maharashtra Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General Vishwas Nangare Patil was also seen at the scene, overseeing the situation as investigations into the accident commenced. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.

In videos shared online, a large crowd had already gathered nearby due to an event attended by Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Local residents and bystanders described the situation as frightening but expressed relief that no serious injuries were sustained by anyone in Akshay Kumar’s convoy.

Family of autorickshaw driver appeal for medical attention

The family of the autorickshaw driver has appealed for both medical attention and compensation for the destroyed vehicle. Mohammed Sameer, the driver’s brother, told ANI, “The entire rickshaw was destroyed, and my brother is in very serious condition. My only request is that my brother receives proper treatment and that compensation is provided for the damage to the rickshaw.” According to him, the accident took place between 8:00 and 8:30 pm on Monday.
